Condemned, Foreclosed and Abandoned
Vincent C Brandi
$1,250.00

State: DC

Dimensions: 20 x 26 x 1
Media: Oil on Canvas Board
Artist Statement : I paint these works in multiple layers applying color and texture. I then sand, strip and scrape the painting until it is abstracted, giving the viewer the mystical and Haunting quality. In this Piece: Condemned, Foreclosed and Abandoned, I decided to explore the very sad reality of the unobtainable American dream of affordable home ownership and the sad truth of what happens when owners default on highly priced properties or mortgages. This work speaks to the housing issue here in the United States and how different our housing reality is now verses previous generations, which is represented in the three very distinct styles of homes depicted. This Painting also reminds us of how wasteful our county has become, tearing down and troughing away verses Renewing, recycling and restoring.

Leaving Chincoteague
Eva Keller Carson
$3,800.00

State: MD

Dimensions: 36 x 42 x 1.5
Media: Oil on canvas
Artist Statement : The edges where land meets water are critical for our planet and sadly are changing due to climate change , sea level rise and development. I’m drawn to these fragile and beautiful places, with one of my often visited favorites being the island of Chincoteague, VA. The view captured in this piece reflects the breathtaking sky, light , reflections and contrasts that stopped me as I was leaving the island, to stare in awe and pull over to record the beauty with photos and sketches, later to be turned into this large painting.

$950.00

State: MD

Dimensions: 16 x 16 x 1
Media: Oil on wooden cradle board
Artist Statement : I live in Baltimore city and I’m drawn to the contrasts and vibrancy of urban areas. All cities have issues but they also have so many positives to offer- community connections, commerce, culture, music, food, art. This painting is a compilation of several reference photos and sketches, with which I hoped to show a dense, bustling cityscape from an overpass vantage point, which could be a portrayal of any city anywhere.

'Where We Said Goodbye"
'Where We Said Goodbye"
Lena Danya
$400.00

State: Washington

Dimensions: 10 x 10 x 1.5
Media: Oil on canvas
Artist Statement : This painting portrays a fleeting and profoundly significant moment, the final view from a family's driveway along a calm suburban street as a dangerous wildfire looms in the distance. In the moment of stillness, time seems to pause between familiarity and irreversible change. The work explores themes of memory, displacement, and the emotional weight of departure. It reflects on the pain of saying goodbye to a place so deeply intertwined with comfort and belonging. Though the fire threatens what is physical, the painting seeks to preserve the last glance, the unspoken grief and resilience found in letting go. This art is based on a friend of mine's real experience having to leave their home in Altadena, California, earlier this year. It's dedicated to everyone who has ever had to walk away from home with their heart still inside it.

Steve Ember
$225.00

State: Virginia

Dimensions: 12 x 15 x 1
Media: Black and White Film Photograph on Fiber Stock, Framed with UV Protection Conservation Glass.
Artist Statement : While the buildings that made up the soap manufacturing plants of Procter and Gamble in Baltimore's Inner Harbor have been re-purposed, the developers respected the history of the complex by leaving the large tanks in place, as well as the Procter and Gamble moon and stars logo, one of which is seen above the left tank. Each building bears the name of a P&G product, in this instance, Joy dish-washing detergent. Spacious promenades link the buildings and the waterfront of the West Channel of the Inner Harbor. The scene was shot on FomaPan Classic-100 film in a Nikon FE, through a Nikkor 35mm f/1.4 AI-S lens wearing a red No.25 filter.
Rio Chama, New Mexico
Rio Chama, New Mexico
Sandra Emme
$500.00

State: MD

Dimensions: 19 x 23 x 1.5
Media: Mixed Media - Color Pencil on Watercolor Wash
Artist Statement : The Chama river flows from the Colorado mountains to its joining with the Rio Grande near the Pueblo of Ohkay Owingeh. For Native Americans water is necessary and sacred. New Mexico faces water scarcity due to warming climate, drying rivers, and dwindling aquifers. The Pueblo recently won a legal water rights settlement. Funds will be provided to restore drought affected areas. Georgia O'Keefe often visited and painted works depicting this area. My goal in creating this work is to preserve my own view of this desolate area and also garner respect for our dwindling natural resources.

$500.00

State: MD

Dimensions: 28 x 19 x 1.5
Media: Mixed Media - Color Pencil on Watercolor Wash
Artist Statement : A popular desolate site that my hired Jeep tour was allowed to visit. My experience was that the area was pristine and clean. However reading recent reviews of the area indicate that it has become loverwhelmed with debris. Inconsiderate humans are leaving their rubbish in the area. This work provides an exaggerated interpretation of a ruined rural area.

Shelter
Shelter
Bill Hill
$250.00

State: Florida

Dimensions: 30 x 24
Media: Digital Print
Artist Statement : In Shelter, I explore the fragile boundary between innocence and abandonment through the eyes of a child seated in a forgotten space. The child, accompanied only by a teddy bear, sits quietly in a derelict shelter — a haunting reflection of displacement, resilience, and the emotional aftermath of societal neglect. The space is desolate, yet not empty. It’s saturated with silence, discarded objects, and the remnants of lives once lived. The soft light filtering through the broken ceiling contrasts with the cold, wet floor, emphasizing the duality of vulnerability and endurance. The teddy bear — a universal symbol of comfort — becomes a poignant stand-in for the warmth that’s missing, both literally and metaphorically.
Dessert
Dessert
Bill Hill
$250.00

State: Florida

Dimensions: 30 x 24
Media: Digital Print
Artist Statement : Dessert is a visual meditation on the normalization of catastrophe in a world desensitized to collapse. A child, seated calmly at a diner table in an empty desert town, gazes toward an apocalyptic cloud that swells in the distance. The mushroom-shaped formation looms over a shuttered strip mall marked “Closed,” amplifying the eerie quiet of a moment that should demand panic — but doesn’t. This photograph interrogates the quiet resignation we often adopt in the face of overwhelming threats — environmental, societal, political. The child represents both innocence and detachment, their stillness offering a haunting counterpoint to the chaos unfurling beyond the frame. The absurd title, Dessert, plays with the double entendre — a sweet treat or the arid wasteland — and points to our cultural habit of distraction while seated at the table of crisis.
Valley of Ashes
Valley of Ashes
Charles Hunter
$6,000.00

State: VT

Dimensions: 24 x 36 x 1.5
Media: Oil on stretched canvas
Artist Statement : This piece is born from a trip to Nova Scotia where the incongruity of a half-mile-long roadside trash dump provided startling counterpoint to sparkling sea breezes and a bright snap in the air. Anselm Keifer came to mind, and Fitzgerald, whose “valley of ashes - a fantastic farm where ashes grow like wheat into ridges and hills and grotesque gardens,” seemed nearby, though the eyes of Dr. Eckelburg were nowhere to be seen. The hint of blue in the sky, though, seemed very important to include.

$3,000.00

State: VT

Dimensions: 10 x 20 x 1.5
Media: Oil on cradled wood panel
Artist Statement : “Perhaps this is our strange and haunting paradox here in America; that we are fixed and certain only when we are in movement,” wrote Thomas Wolfe. The metaphor of transportation is central to my work. I travel by rail whenever possible, watching the passing landscape, tracing the remnants of what was and how it shapes the present. One of the most thrilling moments in the American experience is, to me, on board Amtrak’s LAKE SHORE LIMITED out of Chicago on its way to New York, as it passes through the steel mills near Gary, Indiana on the southern shores of Lake Michigan each night. The exact century falls away, the industrial heartland still bellows; Vulcan is at his forge, and we see it flash past, indistinct, yet vivid.
